Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance, integrity, and security of our Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee Oracle databases to ensure they operate at their best in terms of performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Handle the installation, configuration, and upgrades of Oracle database software and related products.
  • Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively address any performance issues that arise.
  • Establish and enforce database security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive data.
  • Conduct capacity planning exercises and scalability assessments to accommodate future organizational growth.
  • Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Conduct routine health checks on databases, apply patches, and carry out upgrades as necessary.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Stay updated on the latest Oracle database technologies and industry best practices to enhance our database environment continually.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), preferably in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in Oracle database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security management.
  • Strong grasp of Oracle database architecture, data modeling principles, and SQL tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with Oracle database tools such as SQL*Plus, Enterprise Manager, and Data Pump.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are advantageous.
