ABOUT THE ROLE:
AGBO is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join the company. This role is a critical business contributor to the leadership team, driving financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis to support AGBO's key business activities, with a focus on its video game efforts. The position leads various aspects of financial strategy, performance management, and investment analysis to support decision making across game development and publishing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work collaboratively with the VP, Finance, CFO, and Corporate Strategy team across all detailed modeling and forecasting activities, including long-range plans and ultimates for all departments of AGBO (including Film, TV and Interactive) as well as the consolidated company.
  • Support the Corporate Strategy team with strategic planning efforts for the Company's interactive game initiatives. Support the greenlight process by providing insight into key opportunities and profitability for potential projects to ensure each is financially viable and aligns with the company's strategic goals.
  • Identify and evaluate new business and strategic opportunities as needed.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis, including revenue, cost, and margin analysis and scenario modeling for game development projects, including monetization strategies, publishing initiatives, marketing campaigns, and live service models. Offer actionable insights to optimize performance and ROI.
  • Model, analyze and track the financial projections (cash and GAAP) and performance of individual company projects as needed across Film, TV and games.
  • Lead internal cash flow analysis activities including the preparation of monthly reports for Executive Leadership with oversight by the VP, Finance and CFO. Identify risks, performance variances and scenario alternatives as part of the analysis activities.
  • Support the creation of business and financial presentations (e.g., board decks, Quarterly Business Reports, etc.)
  • Coordinate and address financial and information requests from Company investors at the direction of the CFO and VP, Finance.
  • Work with the Finance & Accounting team on all corporate and departmental budgeting activities, including the development of annual budgets and quarterly performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to internal financial reporting and analysis on a monthly and/or quarterly basis, including tracking performance on a budget to actual basis, development expenditure analysis, overhead cost analysis, etc.
  • As part of the Company's annual audit process, prepare supporting and supplemental information as requested by the Company's auditors.
  • Collect, monitor, analyze and track statements and financial reports from distributors of Company projects.
  • Maintain, generate and coordinate accounting and financial reporting statements (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually as required) for investors and participants in the Company's film, TV and video game projects.
  • Support the CFO and VP, Finance as needed on other accounting, finance and corporate-related matters.
  • Coordinate corporate reporting.
  • Actively collaborate with members of the Finance & Accounting team and other departments.
  • Create opportunities to foster collaboration among peers and colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Graduate Degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of entertainment industry financials.
  • Proven track record of financial leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.


The typical base salary for this position ranges from $175,000-$195,000 annually. Actual offers will be determined based on experience.
