We are seeking a Human Resource Business Partner to join our HR team. An ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in Human Resources, particularly in employee relations and performance management.
- The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees.
- A capacity to pivot and prioritize tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and managers, appropriately escalating complex and sensitive matters.
- Implement, support, and demonstrate an understanding of HR department initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and regulations.
- Plan, prepare, and coordinate employee onboarding.
- Maintain personnel records in both electronic and paper forms.
- Assist with the recruitment process by supporting the Talent Acquisition team during high-volume periods.
- Update daily systems, including transfers, promotions, and title changes.
- Prepare termination paperwork, including sending termination letters and exit surveys to associates and termination checklists to supervisors.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a generalist HR role.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
- Experience in employee relations and talent acquisition.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite.
