Position Overview
The MEP Regional Sales Director, will be responsible for managing and developing local sales executives to develop new business for Crete United's Partners in the Chicagoland area. You will lead your sales team to attract new clients by establishing and retaining the relationship, identifying, and meeting all their MEP requests, and ensuring that they receive outstanding customer service from all our MEP departments. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful MEP sales team leadership experience, be high energy with a competitive growth mindset and ready to deliver outstanding service for our partners and clients. Position Overview
The MEP Regional Sales Director, will be responsible for managing and developing local sales executives to develop new business for Crete United's Partners in the Chicagoland area. Key Deliverables:
- Lead and manage sales executives in your region to develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with high volume customers to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives.
- Lead and mentor the sales tea, to deliver new customers to achieve organizational and revenue objectives.
- Master the Crete United Partner's strategic points of differentiation and deliver a targeted sales strategy to capitalize on it
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your sales team to attract and develop accounts of all sizes by representing the Crete United's Partners externally with customers and internally by working with business development and operations teams.
- Coach and develop your teams to achieve a thorough understanding of the customers' position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape.
- Work with your teams to manage customer input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines.
- Ensure your sales executives manage RFP proposals to deliver wins.
- Facilitate execution as a strategic orchestrator, ensuring Crete United's partner's local sales executives deliver on the promises we've made, and the results customers expect.
- Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels.
- Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects.
- As necessary, visit customers, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
- Proactively manage your teams to remain connected to customers and the ever-changing market to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable customers are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
- Ensure your sales executive's ability to influence customers to make the right business decision by persuading collaboratively and by helping them see the financial and non-financial impact of their decisions to their organizations.
- Ensure your sales executives for proper procedures for the solicitation of project documents and information
- Ensure your teams follow up on all outstanding RFP's and project bids with customers.
Skills and Experience:
- BA in business administration, or similar relevant field experience
- 5+ years of successful sales management experience within the Construction (MEP) industry
- Demonstrable sales team leadership results and an established book of business
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent networking and relationship building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
- Problem-solving and negotiation aptitude
- Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment consistently and positively.
- Ability to effectively communicate with leaders of all levels (C-level down to entry-level support roles)
- Ability to work independently and manage personal time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong writing, phone, and presentation skills
- Salesforce experience preferred.
