In partnership with public safety, RapidSOS created the world's first intelligent safety platform that securely links life-saving data from 540 million+ connected devices, apps and sensors and 200+ technology partners directly to RapidSOS Safety Agents, 911, and first responders globally. The platform is used by over 21,000+ first responder agencies in six countries and supports 171 million+ emergencies each year. What this role is about:Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media and driving impactful results? RapidSOS is looking for a dynamic and innovative Social Media Manager to shape our brand's voice and lead our social media strategy.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop and execute bold, strategic campaigns across multiple platforms, create engaging content-ranging from captivating visuals to compelling videos-and foster authentic connections with our online community and influencers. Your deep understanding of social media trends, influencer marketing, and video production will help craft content that stands out, while your strong analytical skills will optimize our approach for maximum engagement and growth. Starting pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience, relevant skills, training, education, location, business needs, or market demands. The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000. This role will also be eligible to receive equity options.

What you'll do:
- Content Creation & Scheduling: Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content (including posts, images, videos, etc.) tailored to each social media platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube), ensuring consistency with brand messaging.
- Video Production: Conceptualize, create, and edit video content (e.g., reels, stories, short-form video) to boost engagement and storytelling across social platforms.
- Influencer Marketing: Identify and build relationships with relevant influencers to collaborate on campaigns that amplify the brand's reach and establish thought leadership. Manage influencer partnerships from initial outreach to campaign execution and reporting.
- Community Management: Monitor and manage all social media channels, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries, and foster a positive online community by encouraging meaningful interactions.
- Campaign Strategy: Create and execute social media campaigns aligned with the company's marketing goals, including brand awareness, lead generation, customer engagement, and influencer partnerships.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze key social media metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, video views, and campaign performance. Based on data-driven insights, provide regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay current with social media and video content trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company's social presence remains innovative and competitive.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, PR, and product marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms and align social media efforts with broader company initiatives. Coordinate with videographers, graphic designers, and external creators to bring social content to life.
What we're looking for in our ideal candidate:
- 5+ years of social media experience or in a similar role in a B2B SaaS company (ideally a mix of B2B SaaS and B2C)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, analytics, and influencer marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in video production and editing for social platforms (e.g., reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts)
- Excellent written, communication, and content creation skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a proactive & creative approach to problem-solving and a strong sense of ownership
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, native platform insights), and graphic design tools (ie. Canva)
- An understanding and flexibility in working in a high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly
- Ability and willingness for occasional travel to office and team gatherings
Nice-to-have experience (but not required!):
- Experience managing paid social media advertising campaigns
- Familiarity with SEO, web traffic metrics, and content marketing
- Proficiency in video editing
- Knowledge of public safety
