Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain, the Project Procurement Director is responsible for leading the procurement effort on major international refurbishment projects. The Project Procurement Director, responsible for >$1bn worth of procurement over the multi-year projects, is responsible to deliver the procurement effort for NSP components, ensuring critical project milestones are met. They will lead the project procurement team as well as interfacing with customers and critical stakeholders.
This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.
Your role within the team:
- Planning the procurement of complex goods and services, approximately $1bn, leveraging the experience and knowledge of the team to create solid procurement plans and strategies.
- Leading a dynamic procurement team with a strong commitment to local supply chain and indigenous communities.
- Developing the strategic procurement plan; leading the procurement effort through the various phases of the project.
- Interfacing with multidisciplinary teams with a clear understanding of outcomes at different levels, including but not limited to Procure to Pay, Engineering, Finance, and Quality.
- Coordinating effectively and securing successful outcomes related to procurement scope, between the multiple project and functional teams.
- Planning and monitoring procurement scope, analyzing successes and challenges, ensuring continuous improvement and forward thinking.
- Dealing with project procurement risk and uncertainty with strategic mitigation plans in place for execution when required.
- Marketing, networking, and negotiating effectively with various stakeholders.
- Execute high level strategies as directed by the Project Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate:
- Post-secondary education. CSCMP certification, SCMA or MCIPS preferred, MBA, post-graduate degree an asset.
- 20 years' major project experience in similar industries.
- Stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management.
- Strategic thinker and business influencer, with change management experience.
- People leadership and development skills with experience leading a procurement management team and team of Buyers and Order Administrators.
- Effective communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity skillset.
- Business travel as required.
