Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) to lead and manage the material strategy and execution for the Persistent Surveillance Portfolio. The MPM will be responsible for coordinating all supply chain activities, ensuring program cost, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong background in material management, project management, and leadership in a defense/aerospace manufacturing environment.

Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

The MPM will be responsible for coordinating all supply chain activities, ensuring program cost, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong background in material management, project management, and leadership in a defense/aerospace manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the material program plan, including procurement strategies, schedules, and risk mitigation plans, to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management, to ensure material availability and resolve any supply chain challenges.
- Lead supplier selection, management, and negotiations to optimize performance and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and track material budgets, forecasts, and variances to ensure financial targets are met.
- Implement material management strategies to support the program's cost and schedule objectives, including make/buy analysis, supplier development, and long-term agreements.
- Ensure the timely delivery of materials to meet production and program milestones while managing risks related to supply chain delays or disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow, reduce costs, and improve supply chain performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all material-related matters within the program and interface with key stakeholders, including suppliers, internal teams, and senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable export control regulations, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Support proposal efforts by developing material cost estimates, risk assessments, and management plans.•
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in material program management, supply chain management, or procurement, preferably in the defense/aerospace industry.
- Proven track record in managing complex material requirements for large-scale programs, including experience with radar or electronic systems.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems (Costpoint, etc)
