SSM Health SLUCare Physician Group is seeking faculty applicants for a full-time appointment in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Academic rank, with Saint Louis University School of Medicine is commensurate with experience. The physician candidate must be BC/BE in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Responsibilities include providing clinical care for children with a variety of respiratory illnesses in inpatient and outpatient settings while supervising health care trainees. Academic opportunities in medical education, clinical and basic science are valued and encouraged. The Division includes accredited CF and Sleep centers with a Sleep medicine fellowship and active participation in many multidisciplinary clinics. Pulmonary Function and Sleep labs are directed by members of our division; we have an active bronchoscopy service.The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine consists of 7 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners with a wide array of training backgrounds and academic interests. The Division is supported by a team of clinical nurses, respiratory therapists, research coordinators, a dietitian, a social worker and administrative staff.
Our services include a 65-bed Level 4 NICU complemented by a Level 3 NICU at our maternity hospital and a community network of newborn nurseries. A 21-bed PICU/CCU includes a thriving Cardiac surgery program. Transplant services include Bone Marrow and solid organ transplant (not including lung). All major Pediatric medical, surgical, and behavioral specialties are included in our Departments and Divisions. Community-based outpatient offices are located throughout the near metropolitan area.
