About the Role We are looking for an innovative and collaborative Sr Manager, HR Technology to lead the team responsible for production and project configuration support and all system enhancements within Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence. This role is focused on close collaboration with partners in payroll, HR, and Finance, offering both technical expertise and strategic advice to address complex business issues and develop long term solutions. In this role, you will support the enterprise Workday solutions of US Payroll, HCM/Core payroll setup for global payroll integrations, global Absence, and Time Tracking. The ideal candidate must have hands-on configuration experience of Workday for a large-scale global environment. This role can be 100% remote from anywhere in the U.S. Technical Responsibilities: Experience leading / managing future state design and process improvement projects focused on PATT (Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking) business functions to design, architect, troubleshoot and maintain Workday configuration Advise key stakeholders and partners on Workday PATT functionalities, providing technical support and best practice suggestions for configuration Own and design system requirements and supporting business process changes by conducting gap analysis between business needs and Workday capabilities, performing regression testing where appropriate and recommending solutions or enhancements. Collaborate with People Services, Payroll, Finance, and Total Rewards/Benefits teams to lead complex quarterly and cyclical projects, including managing timeline, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress, gathering requirements, implementing solutions that comply with federal, state and local regulations, and developing and executing end-to-end test plans to validate system configurations and updates. Support payroll-impacting configuration changes made across other HR Tech workstreams including core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Comp, Benefits, Absence, etc. and integrations with other systems such as Labcorp’s Oracle ERP. Serve as workstream lead for Workday upgrades – collaborate with other HR functions/WD Workstream Owners to plan for upgrade, build test scripts/UAT plans, testing/validation and deployment for new functionality Work with M&A Lead to support new business acquisitions and ensure successful integration into payroll system Experience leading and performing Workday application control reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with deep knowledge of segregation of duties concepts, sensitive access, and experience in user access security across Payroll SKU Own documentation library for support processes that impact PATT Workday technical operations; ensure job aids and SOPs on system configuration and business process administration within Workday PATT area are up-to-date Champion innovation opportunities by introducing, developing or offering breakthrough products, services or technology and stay abreast of Workday system releases & enhancements Leadership Responsibilities: Lead team responsible for resolving complex production support issues and application & business process enhancements by scoping, designing, architecting, troubleshooting and maintaining Workday Payroll for US, time tracking setups, time tags, templates, and global absence configuration Develop PATT technology strategies and roadmaps, mapping to business needs and broader HR and HR Technology initiatives Manage efficient and customer-focused team operation for case queue coming through ServiceNow HRSD Attract, engage, develop team members and create an environment that is proactive, agile, innovative, economical, collaborative and accountable Coach, mentor and provide career guidance for all team members and build expertise within the team Utilize SLA and other service delivery metrics to assure team is operating optimally; adjust and improve as needed Collaborate within and across organization to ensure all teams are aligned on priorities; facilitate advisory committee decisions and prioritization trade-off discussions, assuring optimal delivery to achieve business objectives Interact regularly with executives and/or key customers to provide consultation to influence and drive resolution to complex issues Own the PATT Workday Functional Roadmaps and innovation blueprints, including review of vendor release, emerging technologies, and other roadmap input materials Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience Subject matter expert in Payroll system administration with minimum of 8+ years of Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence configuration experience. (4+ years of Workday experience is required). Must have thorough knowledge of end-to-end US Workday payroll processes including earnings, deductions, job codes, pay component calculations (Conditional, Logic, Instance Set, Aggregate, Comparison, etc.), tax rate updates, year-end tasks and W2 corrections, and integrations with third-party systems (e.g., ADP); GL and Payroll Accounting Configuration for financial reporting; Workday time tracking and absence touchpoints within payroll Workday Phase X project delivery with knowledge in requirements gathering, designing, prototyping and testing of Workday PATT solutions Proficient in EIB processing and troubleshooting Proficient in Workday reporting for Payroll/ Financial Accounting (Composite, Matrix, Advanced Reports) Basic/Intermediate integrations, business process configuration, and Workday security knowledge to help troubleshoot errors & provide requirements as they relate to the PATT modules. Experience in payroll processing lifecycle within Workday (pay inputs, calculations, retro processing, complete, settlement) and pay calculation troubleshooting Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent change Preferred Qualifications Workday Pro Certification(s) in Payroll for US, Absence and/or Time Tracking Global Payroll Experience *Role is remote * Application Window: Open through 11/25/2024 Pay Range: $140,000-$180,000 All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. LBP Eligible Position: The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
