The team is geographically distributed across San Jose and India. And, the team is focussed on building an enterprise grade data platform and delivering exceptional multi cloud observability solutions to Nutanix’s customers. At Nutanix, we prioritize creating a conducive work environment that promotes productivity, growth, and work-life balance for all our employees.Your RoleLead technical direction, architecture, and design for NCM observability and platform capabilitiesArchitect, design, and develop scalable, cloud native distributed systemsEngage in design/code reviews and define development & test best practicesMentor junior engineers and drive technical excellenceBuild innovative solutions that cater to customer needsCollaborate with architects, tech leads, and product managers to drive clarity on goals and outcomesManage priorities, deliverables, and timelinesWork in a geographically distributed team setupWhat You Will BringExtensive experience in building & scaling distributed systemsStrong programming skills in GoLang, Python, Java or C++Experience architecting and building observability platformsData modeling and working with time series, graph, and relational databasesExperience with messaging/eventing systems like NATS, KafkaUnderstanding of Kubernetes and containersExperience with microservices and data processing frameworks"Think big, start small, make it happen" mindset.A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. Experience of 12+ years developing highly scalable and available software.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 225,600 and USD $ 451,200 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
