CA Pay Range (Annual):-At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Work in a team of experienced PIC test engineers and technicians to grow and adapt PIC Test to the demands of a growing pluggable transceiver module market.Essential Functions / Key ResponsibilitiesHands-on development of device-under-test handling and positioning solutions for opto-electronic component test at high volume and speedHands-on development of electrical/optical/thermal probing hardwareDesign of mechanical models of handling/positioning/test hardware in CAD SW (e.g. SolidWorks)Documentation of shop drawings in Agile, processing of shop ordersDevelopment of fully automated production level test solutions, including motion/vision control HWThorough documentation of all test HW solutions, failure mode analysis, capability analysis, and communication to other teamsGuidance of external support technicians on tester bring-up and trouble shootingTracking of schedules and milestones for test development projectsEducation / ExperienceMS or BS with 2+ years of industry experience, major in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Applied PhysicsKnowledge / Skills /AbilitiesHands-on experience with design, assembly and alignment of high-precision/tight tolerance mechanical systemsHands-on experience with motorized stages and positioners with better than 100um resolutionExperience with computer-aided design software (e.g SolidWorks, AutoCAD)Experience with mechanical design of positioning/probing/handling hardware systems is a plusExperience with a production level test environment (including Gage RR, SPC, tool qualification) is a plusBasic software development skills, experience with data base tools like JMP, SQL is a plusAbility to analyze existing test solutions and apply critical thinking to further improve test hardware in a manufacturing environmentAbility to work within a team environment, clearly and concise communication inside and outside the Test team#LI-SR2“This position requires direct or indirect access to certain confidential information, hardware, software, technology, or technical information (referred to here as “Export-Controlled Information”) controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
