Woven by Toyota's Integration team is developing software tools and practices to achieve "Kaizen" in automated driving. Our goal is to operationalize modern CI/CD processes with a data-first approach to deliver performant software to our customers.WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are looking for a passionate engineer who is excited to contribute to autonomous driving and driver assist systems. As part of this role you will help build and maintain the software release systems, ensuring that software is delivered on time and with high quality. Your goal will be to improve development velocity via process, simulation testing, or other means, while maintaining a stable and robust main software branch. Experience in standing up a robust CI/CD release process is preferred, especially in a safety critical environment such as automotive, aerospace, aeronautics, medical, etc. You will work cross-functionally with engineering leads, technical program managers, and product managers to serve as technical point-of-contact for the software release systems across multiple projects and platforms.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and Lead: Oversee the engineering team responsible for the end-to-end software release process, ensuring timely and high-quality software delivery. Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members.Release Workflow Management: Support and enhance the release workflow, including daily release builds and production releases.CI/CD Pipeline Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in our CI/CD pipeline to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.Performance Guarantees: Ensure that software releases meet stringent standards and provide necessary performance guarantees.Integration with Production: Collaborate with production automotive release processes and influence best practices within the organization.Data-Driven Analysis: Utilize data-driven analysis to identify critical issues, prioritize efforts, and ensure optimal driving performance.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design upcoming features, requirements, and estimate their impact on driving performance.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the release process, including changelogs, performance expectations, and risk assessments. Introduce scalable methods of automating reports and traceability.Work Breakdown: 50% release execution, 25% process roadmapping and implementation, 25% data analysisMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSDegree in Computer Science or a related field, M.S. a plus.8+ years of professional experience in related positions.Strong understanding of common software development practices and DevOps.Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices with demonstrable experience in production environments.Expertise in design, implementation, and operation of automated testing systems and release branch management.Experience with release management using GitHub Enterprise or similar tools.Track record of delivering robust products to internal and external customers.Management or mentoring experience.NICE TO HAVESExperience shipping automotive production software, either OEM or Tier1. OTA specialization a bonusProficiency in data science, statistics, root cause analysis, failure analysis.A generalist or robotics background, and a strong desire to learn new technical skills.Strong grasp of automated driving technologies spanning planning, control, perception, and localization.Experience with Python, C++, and LinuxExperience with Jira, Confluence, JAMA, test management toolsJapanese language proficiencyFor California: The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000- $195,500 a yearYour base salary is one part of your total compensation.
