Role: Motion Designer

About the role:
We are seeking a Motion Designer to join our creative team for a new financial services client. In this role, you'll transform straightforward concepts into user-friendly designs, leveraging your innovative thinking in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The Motion Designer will serve as member of an agile, cross-functional team comprised of both agency and client marketers, whose collective goal is to elevate the level of creativity and support the organizations value streams across multiple channels, creating visually effective creative executions.
They will be responsible for editing and assembling video, motion graphics, and sound for various media, including online, social, digital display, mobile, tv, digital signage, and other marketing platforms. The candidate will work with the in-house studio team to see each project through to completion. Our ideal candidate comes from an advertising agency, loves to design, and has worked on various projects. Creativity, strategic thinking, and storytelling prowess will play a pivotal role in shaping the perception of our client's brand and fostering meaningful connections with their audience.

What you will be doing:
- Edit and adapt 2D/3D motion videos and incorporate motion graphics and other digital creative assets as needed to produce a finished product.
- Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
- Understand and apply high-quality video color correction techniques and manipulation.
- Consult and collaborate with strategists, project managers, scrum master, designers and copywriters to understand project scope and objectives.
- Participate in agile planning, ceremonies and daily standups.
- Accept feedback and iterate on designs in a highly-collaborative, low-ego team environment.
- Present and articulate creative concepts and findings to stakeholders and team members effectively.
- Develop materials in compliance with advertising and ADA regulations
- Ensure final deliverables comply with design and production requirements and expectations.
- Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming conventions, and organization of graphic files.
- Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions; maintain up-to-date knowledge of graphic design techniques.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- 2-4 years multimedia / motion design experience at a design agency, marketing, or similar, including experience in a client facing capacity
- Proficiency in Adobe CC and Adobe Experience Cloud, After Effects, Audition, Animate, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and Cinema 4D
- Knowledge of marketing and advertising best practices and principles with a proven track record of success.
- Understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
- Experience in various animation styles, storytelling, video editing, effects, graphic and sound design across various platforms.
- Design and animate motion design projects for promotional campaigns, social media, and digital signage.
- Excellent design, typography, and layout skills with strong attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, stakeholders, and team to build rapport, trust, diplomacy, demonstrate flexibility and tact.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities effectively and strong attention to details.
- Strong Motion Design reel and digital portfolio
- Team player, with a can-do attitude
- Agile Methodology Knowledge - SAFe a plus!
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud - a plus
- Basic knowledge in Workfront + Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
- Design experience in Financial Services.
- Basic understanding and genuine interest in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, highlighting a curiosity for exploring its applications and potential impact.
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $90,000 to $100,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER's total compensation package.
