Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production, tools and supplies needs. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

Job Description

  • Applicant will be familiar with quick turn aircraft engine maintenance and test cell operations of FAR-145 Repair Station.

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs including tools and supplies. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.

  • Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Partner with Production Supervisor to coordinate manpower resources and tooling in order to effectively complete engine repairs in the shop. Proactively problem solve, in partnership with Production team. Promptly identify and escalate risk to leadership and work with team on solutions.

  • Complete & execute customer communication processes. Completes and maintains job history and associated learnings.

  • Understand compliance requirements relative to new Customer set up. Utilize existing processes and procedures to set up a new Customers & Contracts in SAP

  • To create SVNs in SAP

  • To receive and clarify work scopes

  • To respond to Customer inquiries

  • Complete, audit, submit invoices

  • Input Costs into SAP

  • Collect cost accumulations, process all invoices, and assist with Accounts receivable reconciliations.

  • Answer Invoice questions and follow up on requested actions.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of materials planning experience in a manufacturing environment (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of materials planning experience in a manufacturing environment ).

Desired Characteristics :

  • Experience with aircraft engines, aircraft assembly/test

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.

  • Lean six sigma training.

  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience with aircraft/engine test.

  • Experience in MS Office Suite products; to include Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
