As a quality engineer, you will be a key member of the quality department. This will be a customer facing role where you will be the lead on handling customer complaints and all non-conformances. You will be an integral part of driving quality within the organization handling customer complaints, company audits and PPAP documentation.

Client Details

Our client is an employee-owned custom plastic injection molding company established in the late 1960s. They primarily cater to the automotive and medical sectors and are well-regarded for their skills in injection molding, rapid prototyping, and value-added services. This quality engineer position provides the chance to enhance knowledge under strong quality leadership while being part of a supportive and collaborative environment.

Description

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Over 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or 4 years of experience with PPAP
  • Solid expertise in PPAP processes
  • Proficient in measuring processes using SPC
  • Experience in supporting audits
  • Collaborate directly with customers to discuss reports and non-conformances
  • Lead corrective actions utilizing Root Cause Analysis techniques

Profile

A successful Quality Engineer will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required (technical degree i.e. engineering)
  • Experience with handling customer complaints and interfacing with customers on a regular basis
  • Experience handling and implementing corretive action/preventative actions
  • Experience with running or assiting with PPAPs
  • Experience assiting or leading audits (IATF 16949 preferred, but ISO 9001:2015 will suffice)
  • Experience working in a smaller enviornment - may be asked to where a couple different hats

Job Offer

The offer for the Quality Engineer will be as follows:

  • Up to $85k depending on experience and interview strength
