Catapult Healthcare is partnered with a Health System New Hampshire that is in need of a permanent Hospitalist to join their team. The ideal candidate would be a Board Certified in Pediatrics, Family Practice or Internal Medicine.Schedule and Workload:Physician shall generally work 7-day consecutive shifts (primarily day, but may include somenight shifts) to meet operational needs on a rotating 7 on 7 off schedule.Average of 2-5 new admissions or consults per shift. Average daily census is 15 on MedSurg and2 in ICU. 90% adults, 10% Pediatric. 85% Medicine, 14% Surgery, 1% Trauma. 25 total beds, 5ICU beds.Compensation:Salaried compensation for a full-time Hospitalist is $120.00 - $125.00 per hour ($262,000-$273,000 annually based on 2,182 hours annually).If the Physician provides pediatric on-call coverage, the Physician shall be compensated at thefollowing on-call rates, not at the hospitalist rate: a)$26/hour for on-call coverage on non-holidayweekdays. b)$38/hour for on-call coverage on Saturdays, Sundays, or AVH-designated holidaysRequirements: Board certified in Pediatrics, Family Practice or Internal Medicine is required. Active NH or willing to obtain NH medical license in FP, or IM and Peds. Successful completion of ACGME-certified residency program in internal medicine orfamily practice. Possess valid DEA or qualify to obtain DEA. Minimum of three years of experience as primary care physician, emergency medicine physician, or hospitalist preferred. Prior experience as a hospitalist strongly preferred, including care of medical patients on med/surg unit and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), familiarity with CAH, collaboration with nursing and Care Management staff, and education of and communication with patients/families. Ideally looking for a provider who is looking for a place to call home for an extended amount of time (at least 5 years).Additional Details:Provides high quality medical treatment and advice to patients as clinically indicated to achieveclinical and service excellence.Facilitates appropriate care of patients during and shortly after hospitalization, such as throughtelephone or e-mail contact with primary care practitioner (PCP) after hospital discharge.Stabilizes patients in life-threatening situations and, when appropriate, arranges for emergencytransport to a physician and/or tertiary care center with appropriate clinical skills/resources.Together with on-duty Emergency Department physician, leads and participates in code teamfor adults. Responds to and provides professional services for emergencies for any hospitalpatient as requested (similar to a rapid response team function). Provides neonatal resuscitation services as indicated.Performs common medical/pediatric procedures, such as, but not limited to, thoracentesis,paracentesis, lumbar puncture, arterial line placement, central line placement, arthrocentesis and joint injections, incision and drainage of superficial abscess, endotracheal intubation andmanagement of mechanical ventilator, and neonatal circumcision.Performs rounds on hospitalized inpatients on the medical/pediatric service (observation, acute, SNF, ICF,) and records thorough, useful, and timely progress notes as assigned. Co-manages inpatients with surgical colleagues when appropriate. Serves as attending physician for surgical patients with complex medical needs who do not require emergent operative care (with surgeon serving as consultant).During periods of high census or patient acuity in the Emergency Department, temporarilyassists with such workload as time permits (hospitalist primary responsibilities come first) in aneffort to improve timeliness of care and patient satisfaction, within the scope of ones clinicalprivileges.
