Pediatric Psychiatrist Opportunity - Outpatient

NORTON CHILDRENS BEHAVIORAL & MENTAL HEALTH, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Childrens Medical Group, is seeking board-certified or board-eligible child and adolescent psychiatrists to join its established program. The practice is looking to add psychiatrists to its multidisciplinary team of 25 clinicians providing direct patient care, including child and adolescent psychiatrists, pediatric psychologists, nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers. The practice is seeking candidates to fill an outpatient in an integrated and multidisciplinary care setting. Selected candidates will have the flexibility to designate partial work hours to these opportunities, based on their interests. In 2022, Norton Childrens Behavioral & Mental Health conducted over 20,000 outpatient and inpatient visits serving children across Kentucky and the region, with more than 700 admissions to the Ackerly Child Psychiatric Unit at Norton Childrens Hospital.
About The Position
- Preferred candidates are board-certified or board-eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry, and will have completed an accredited residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry
- Academic position with the University of Louisville School of Medicine with teaching responsibilities for medical students, psychiatry residents, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, and psychology internship and postdoctoral trainees.
- Multidisciplinary setting with subspecialty support resources and additional opportunities for teaching and research
- Providing care for underserved patient population up to age 18
- Salary and academic rank commensurate with experience
OUTPATIENT OPPORTUNITY DETAILS
- Provide primarily outpatient mental health care at Norton Childrens Medical Group - NuLu, a primary care practice on the Home of the Innocents campus in downtown Louisville

REQUIREMENTS
- Medical degree/diploma
- Residency and fellowship certification
- Kentucky medical license or license eligible
