Role: Azure Data Architect

Location: Somerville, MA 02144 (Onsite)

Duration: Full-Time / FTE

Role/Job Description

• Strong understanding of emerging Cloud technologies and standards.
• Strong knowledge of Data Modeling, Data migration, Data Ingestion, automation technologies
• Strong knowledge of SQL programming, Data Lake, PostgreSQL, ADF
• Design and implement Cloud solutions, working to agreed standards and principles.
• Should have experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying cloud-based applications and services using Azure technologies, including Service Fabric.
• Hands on experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.
• Knowledge on code review tools and techniques would be preferred.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents and runbooks.
• Mentoring and coaching junior developers and other team members.
• Ability to learn new concepts and carry out technical research.
• Demonstrated ability to gain consensus in a diverse working group that may involve both IT and business leaders across multiple disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability work on diverse technical, and complex projects to completion.
• Strong communication skills, collaborating across diverse functional teams.
• Experience drafting and delivering communications to ensure full transparency within all levels of the business.
• Achievement oriented with the ability to be flexible and adaptive daily

Skills & Experience

• Have good hands-on experience and worked on at least 6 projects (project minimum duration 3 months) using below tech - SQL programming, Data Lake storage (ADLS); ADF or SSIS and Databricks or Synapse Analytics (PySpark/Scala); Power BI and SSRS (PBI Paginated), Data Modelling & Reports; Hands On Experience with Lakehouse architecture; Hands on experience with SSIS pipelines would be added advantage
• Have worked as lead in at least 3 projects (project minimum duration 3 months) and have designed/implemented using well-architected framework and industry standard best practices - Designed storage and data pipeline solution using Azure Data Services specially around Medallion architecture; Contributed to 2 solutions and 4 Presales activity (estimation, proposed solution, assessment/advisory, SOW)

Have worked on at least 3 projects (project minimum duration 3 months) or, one project and four end-to-end Pilot/PoCs, using below tech,

• Delta Lake, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL
• Streaming data processing, Data Modeling
• Logic Apps, Azure Function, Azure Purview
• Microsoft Fabric - Environment Setup / Creating Pipelines & Lakehouse Database/ Semantic Models and Fabric reports

Desired/Preferred

• Have knowledge/experience on below topics,
• Data Fabric, Data Mesh, Lake house
• PowerBI or Tableau
• AI/ML Integration into Data Pipeline solutions
