Budget Analyst

Amentum is now hiring for a Budget Analyst (All levels) position in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $200,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).

The candidate will perform the following duties:
- Analyzes, advises, and provides technical assistance in preparing budgets. Reviews proposed financial plans for completeness, accuracy, conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
- Seeks new ways to improve efficiency and lower costs.
- Excludes paraprofessional positions.
- Employs cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program trade-offs, and explore alternative funding methods.
- Examines past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect budget expenditures.
- Evaluates budget in terms of organizational priorities and financial resources. Assists in preparation and justification of budget requests.
- Analyzes accounting records to determine financial resources required to implement program and submits recommendations for budget allocations.
- Recommends approval or disapproval of requests for funds.
- Advises staff on cost analysis.
- Performs various budget functions involving the formulation, justification, and/or execution of budgets for organizations, programs, or projects.
- This work requires knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of budgeting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business Discipline.
- 1-10+ years of experience.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
