Job Description: As an IT Systems Manager, you will oversee and enhance the infrastructure of our IT operations, ensuring our systems are reliable, secure, and efficient. This pivotal role involves managing our IT team, implementing new systems and technologies, and maintaining the critical IT infrastructure that supports our innovative projects. Reporting to the CTO, you will play a key role in strategic decision-making that affects all technological functions within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Management and Optimization:
    • Oversee the design, enhancement, and implementation of organizational IT systems, software, and networks.
    • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for IT-related operations.
    • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Strategic IT Planning:
    • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making within the IT department to improve overall operation and effectiveness.
    • Lead IT department operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
  • Network and Security Oversight:
    • Manage the security of the network and data, including implementing disaster recovery strategies and back-up procedures.
    • Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Staff Development:
    • Manage and lead the IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
    • Promote a spirit of cooperation and collaboration among team members.
  • Vendor and Project Management:
    • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time.
    • Manage and complete projects on time within budget and scope.
  • Technical Support and Training:
    • Oversee the development and dissemination of help sheets, usage guides, and FAQ lists for end users.
    • Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in AD.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Education & Certification:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.
    • Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies are highly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as an IT manager or similar role with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing IT systems and teams.
    • Extensive experience with IT systems, networking, and various computing platforms.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Linux, and Cisco.
    • Excellent understanding of IT operations and systems security.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
