Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to assist with our Neurosurgery patients in our hospital. This exciting role supports the Neurosurgery service team in their growing practice.
Banner Desert Medical Center is a level 1 trauma center and is one of the largest and most comprehensive facilities in Arizona. Banner Desert serves as a tertiary referral center for the East Valley of metropolitan Phoenix and treats the highest levels of acuity in the East Valley.
As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, this position is involved in management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, providing education, completing consultations, participating in research, assisting in the OR, attending Inpatient rounds. This position requires working closely with our Neurosurgeons in a side-by-side approach to patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified
- Background in Neurosurgery and/or Neurology
- Current Arizona Medical License
- Critical Care training and experience
- Must have at least 3 years experience
- Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
- Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance
- Flexibility within their schedule
