The Licensed Mental Health Therapist will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for children and adolescents in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment plans for the diagnosis and management of children and adolescents with acute or chronic mental health conditions.
- Conduct individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions.
- Participate in staff conferences to plan and evaluate treatment programs.
- Instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding treatment plans, compliance with therapeutic regimens, and prescribed medications.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families to support adherence to treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patients for psychotropic medications within the therapist's scope of practice.
- Supervise Post Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors if supervision training is completed.
- Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries while maintaining confidential records.
- Ensure treatment and progress documentation is in accordance with state regulations and NCQA standards.
- Utilize community and agency resources to meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental programs.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and safety assessments as needed.
- Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies in compliance with state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
- Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis.
- Ability to work onsite 2 days a week.
- Experience working with children and adolescents.
- Eligible to see Medicare patients.
