Assembly Production Associate

Pay Rate: $18.25/hr - $21.32/hr depending upon experience/job openings

What we're looking for:

We are seeking to add an experienced individual to our assembly team in Middleville. Please note that positional needs may vary, and those who receive an offer will be assigned based on their skill set and the current needs of the team. (You will be placed where your skill aligns as well as what aligns with the immediate production needs).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn the functional areas within Bradford White's Assembly process - from installing components, securing product, welding tanks, loading conveyors, and always being aware of PPE guidelines.

NOTE: The assembly line features materials containing harmful chemicals, heavy steel, stainless-steel, sharp-edged steel, high powered oven (can spike temperature in near areas during summer months)

Required qualifications:
  • Ability to regularly understand/adhere to safety regulations and PPE guidelines.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced/high volume environment that features multiple stimuli.
  • Ability to be cross trained on multiple jobs within the given training period.
  • Ability to rotate jobs in a particular job cell (section of the assembly line) as required.
  • Ability to lift heavy (bending, reaching, maneuvering, tilting, rotating product) 8-12 hours in a shift using majority muscle groups (Chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, hip flexors, abdomen).
  • Ability to understand work instructions and required training.
  • Ability to retain information with the expectation you will be able to train after adequate time of the job
  • Ability to understand detail-oriented awareness of product specifications, quality, potential defects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in an industrial or similar environment that involves heavy lifting.
  • Proficient prior experience using hand tools (various drills, socket wrenches, hammers, ignition tools).
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that assembles large products.
  • Prior experience in roles that required frequent troubleshooting and or repair of machines, auto mobiles, home appliances, and HVAC components and other adjacent fields.
Physical requirements of position:
  • Wearing required PPE dependent upon specific jobs at designated times.
  • Frequent repeated use of upper body muscle groups (arms, back, shoulders, abdomen to extend product portion above head and place on water tank) (up to 50lbs)
  • Regular repeated bending, reaching, maneuvering, tilting, rotating product) 8-12 hours in a shift using majority muscle groups (Chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, hip flexors, abdomen) to secure, conjoin, cover, assemble, and rotate product.
  • Frequent standing for 8-10-12 hour shifts while use of upper body muscle groups in effort to cojoin various portions on the final assembly lines.
  • Regular use of various hand tools that require adequate twisting to secure attachments to product.
  • Repeated use of hands whether it be operating hand tools, fashioning cardboard into bases for the water heaters.
