Program Details
- Program Start Date: March 2024
- OB/GYNs to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
- OB/GYNs Required to Perform Circumcisions: TBD
- OB/GYNs Needed for First Assist: Yes
- Backup Available to the MHAS Physicians: Yes; General Surgeons available 24/7.
- 2 to 3 Providers in clinic daily.
Program Objectives:
- Provide clinic and L&D Support toensure consistent high-quality care.
- Expand access to care for women in the community.
- Reduce time for OB visits (currentlyscheduling 4/5 months out)
- Reduce time to schedule Well Womens Visits
- Opportunity to increase GYN surgeries.
Hospital and Clinic Details
- MHAS Providers in clinic M-T, 8a-5p, and on-call after hours. Fridays are 8a-12p in clinic and on-call after hours.
- Only on call Saturday and Sunday.
- Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 50
- Total Hospital Deliveries (annual avg.): 600
- Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (annual avg.): 150
- 8 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)Rooms
- 5 Postpartum Rooms
- C-Section Operating Room
- Nursery - Level 1
- TeleNICU - University of Utah Health
- Anesthesia: On-Call 24/7
- MFM: Refer out for MFM
- Fetal Monitoring System: Cintricity
- EMR used in Hospital: MedHost
- EMR used in Clinic: Athena
- Current OR days for Clinicians: Wednesdays
