ECU Health Chowan Hospital, located in Edenton, NC is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to help pick up shifts in the Emergency Department. Candidates will need to come in the day before for orientation.

• 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
• 9-bed Emergency Department
• Annual Emergency Department visits: 16,000
• Acute Stroke Ready, Joint Commission
• Support services include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and ICU level care
• Average number of patients per day per provider: 21
• Average number of admissions per day: 2.1 during the day and 1 at night
• ECU Health Air and Ground Support available to immediately transfer patients to ECU Health Medical Center
• Systemwide EMR system: EPIC
• Will accept IM physicians and FM physicians with emergency experience
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications are required for IM/FM
