Job Title: Circuit Card Assembly Technician Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Code: 18052 Schedule: First shift, weekday (schedule: 9/80; w/Friday coverage; 40 hrs) Job Description: Manufacturing Technician will work closely with Area Management. Manufacturing Engineering, and Inspection. This position supports new and existing electronic circuit products, in an ESD and FOD sensitive lab environment. Primary duties include, automated, semi-automated, and hand install assembly operations. A successful candidate will be able to transition between various aspects of circuit card assembly, in unison with building a variety of different designs, with minimal supervision. Essential Functions: Completes manufacturing in compliance with quality specifications. Implements and provides feedback for operation sequence, and the ability to achieve manufacturing requirements and specifications. Supports root cause analysis of failed electronic components. Implementation of assembly methods, tooling, and aids required to achieve special design engineering requirements. Corrects manufacturing failures by making adjustments, or replacing parts or components as directed. Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times as detailed in company policy and procedure. Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs. Sound communication and documentation skills to ensure efforts are properly recorded, in unison with customer and quality expectations. The ability to achieve IPC-610 certification, “Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies”. Fully proficient individual contributor, with the ability to support team activities. A resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Works under limited supervision. Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Requires basic circuit card assembly knowledge/skills. Qualifications: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in prototype and first time build processes Knowledgeable in manufacturing process improvement through adoption of more efficient methods using tools such as, lean, six sigma, just do it, and TOC techniques Demonstrated ability to comprehend schematics, logic drawings, layouts, wire lists, and prints May lift medium weights L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
