Converge Resources is actively seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician with strong I&E experience and a background in servicing chillers in a petrochemical or plant atmosphere. The primary responsibility will be maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing chillers across gas plants throughout the Permian Basin. This role requires expertise in working with control systems, electrical systems, and instrumentation, along with the ability to operate safely in industrial environments.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience in electrical and instrumentation roles.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, personnel, and vendors.
- Maintenance Expertise: Execute all pipeline maintenance activities effectively, including diagnostics and repair.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a solid work ethic.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other necessary software.
- Availability: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed, with the ability to respond to call-outs and shift work in plant or field conditions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs, work in various climate conditions, and perform tasks in confined spaces (kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, etc.).

- Electrical & Instrumentation Knowledge: Understand and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment associated with plant processing systems, including control valves, transmitters, PLCs, and DCS systems.
- Panel Control Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair compressor panel control wiring and associated devices, including electrical motor starter panels.
- Schematics & Diagrams: Read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings to ensure accurate diagnostics and repair of equipment.
- Environmental Adaptability: Work effectively in extreme weather conditions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems in processing plants and field booster stations.
- Electrical System Range: Work on electrical systems ranging from 12V DC to 4160V AC, utilizing meters and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to company safety procedures, including lockout and tag-out protocols, and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaboration: Work closely with different teams and departments on projects and troubleshooting efforts.
- Additional Duties: Execute other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
