Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to join our Outdoor Performance Marketing platform team and lead the global marketing strategy for Simms Fishing. The Outdoor Performance strategic priorities are to be consumer-first focused, lead with power brands, and invest inwards. Our marketing team will create focus and power of the consumer through brand marketing, content & creative services, shopper experience, and channel marketing to achieve our objectives.
As the Marketing Director you will be responsible for establishing brand positioning and strategies designed to enhance brand value and equity. You will lead and develop strategy and plans based on Simms Fishing goals of brand identification and establish global guidelines and standards for the organization. You will lead the implementation of the strategies for Simms Fishing by working with department and platform leaders to achieve market dominance while driving revenue and profitability growth.
This position reports to the Head of Marketing for the Outdoor Performance platform and is based out of Bozeman, UT.

As the Marketing Director, you will have an opportunity to:
- Develop a highly productive, results oriented brand infrastructure by leading and inspiring the team to ensure they are focused on innovative marketing and capturing market share.
- Partner with the Outdoor Performance leadership team to support and reinforce brand strategies and identify opportunities to reach new customers.
- Work closely with VP, Head of Simms in conducting detailed marketing/brand analysis to identify potential problems, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Execute the plan to deliver brand objectives across all channels and markets.
- Collaborate with industry marketing service providers to establish our brand superiority.
- Communicate product innovation effectively to the consumer through all venues of media.
- Lead and develop brand ambassador marketing strategy and relationships.
- Develop PR & Communication plans resulting in a brand communication strategy to influence consumers and retail customers.
- Manage all external public relations activities.
- Create metrics for measuring success of all brand programs instilling a high performing passionate team culture.
- Positive and professional communication with senior leaders outside the Business Unit.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years' experience in marketing.
- Self-starter able to operate in an entrepreneurial environment that rewards the ability to successfully set and achieve goals, execute plans and work with customers and the company's management team.
- Strong consultative marketing and problem-solving skills with customizing capabilities.
- Outstanding collaboration and team skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to all levels in the organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
