Accounting Manager

Position Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee and enhance core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general and administrative (G&A) expenses, treasury management, and revenue recognition. This role will involve managing the monthly close process, conducting financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and driving efficiencies across the department. A strong foundation in public accounting, coupled with a CPA license, is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections.
  • Implement controls to maintain high-quality A/P and A/R operations and mitigate risk.
  • Lead the G&A expense tracking, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Oversee general ledger reconciliation, accruals, and other month-end close activities.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support contract reviews, revenue reporting, and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and implement accounting policies and procedures to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Support team members' professional development and growth, ensuring high standards of performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in A/P, A/R, G&A, treasury, and revenue recognition.
  • Public accounting experience and CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intact, or other financial tools).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
