What you'll do:
The Operation Manager is responsible for all operational programs for manufacturing. The Operations Manager has responsibility for safe, sanitary, high quality and productive manufacture of frozen value-added products at the Lebanon, IN. facility. The Operations Manager will ensure the legality of all processing and packaging operations as well as effective warehouse and material coordination. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

The Operation Manager is responsible for all operational programs for manufacturing. The Operations Manager has responsibility for safe, sanitary, high quality and productive manufacture of frozen value-added products at the Lebanon, IN. facility. The Operations Manager will ensure the legality of all processing and packaging operations as well as effective warehouse and material coordination. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
- Lead respective Shift Production Leaders from production planning through execution. Develop roles and responsibilities for Production Supervisors that provide effective and efficient management of shift operations. This includes processes to optimize production staffing, reporting, and system auditing. Build a consistent approach across shifts.
- Maximize labor, material, & equipment utilization and ensure that all aspects of the production responsibility (safety, sanitation, quality, productivity) are met or exceeded. Maintain all required documentation in accordance with product specifications and processing parameters.
- Responsible for the training and development needs of the production workforce in conjunction with Shift Supervisors. Develop and implement training programs to increase performance of employees and the safety of tasks. Complete job performance evaluations.
- Cross-functional responsibility with the Maintenance, Engineering, HR, Sanitation, and Quality Managers to collectively plan, communicate and implement team-driven projects for the improvement of the product, process and working environment of the Lebanon facility.
- Oversee activities of Lebanon materials coordination, responsible for dry and frozen transactions.
- Update and coordinate information to employees and management on plant performance.
- Understand and Report on Manufacturing KPI's including Material loss, Labor loss and manufacturing downtime related issues.
What you'll need:
- Operations management (bachelor's preferred) or technical degree with 5+ years progressive responsibility.
- Leadership, presentation, and team building skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
- A high level of discipline and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-starter with a desire to create and drive change within a diverse work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
