WHAT YOU'LL DO

This role will join our NYC Staffing team, which drives the team deployment of BCG's most important asset - its people. Our team is seeking a People Team Specialist to provide critical logistical, strategic, and project management support for the NYC office. This role is ideal for someone passionate about a career in the HR/People space, and who thrives in fast-paced environments while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

This is a tremendous opportunity to help refine and execute the Consulting Team people agenda across the NYC office, with the goal of continuing to improve the end-to-end consultant experience and offer best in class talent management support. By design, the People Team Specialist will work across a broad set of topics - with multiple priorities that will vary over time and in alignment with the priorities of the leadership team and the Talent Managers. Example priority areas will include supporting and executing best-in-class programmatic efforts focused on CT affiliation and engagement; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; talent deployment and staffing support; CT development; mentorship; mobility programs; and more. Importantly, this individual will team most closely with the Talent Managers to drive special projects and provide execution support where it is most needed. At times, the Specialist will provide back-up / buffer support for TMs / people teams (e.g., leaves, crunch periods).

The People Team Specialist will at times play an important role in special projects and people analytics, whether supporting analysis of cohort pulse check data, formal global surveys (e.g., People Survey, COVID surveys), or other ad hoc system/local analyses. In this capacity, the Specialist teams with the TMs and office leadership teams to translate insights into required action or changes.

This role's mandate may evolve over time as strategic programs and projects are identified & implemented. Key priorities will be evaluated on an ongoing basis, to align with business needs and individual goals.

This role will work directly with local Talent Managers, Business Management Leaders, and system/office leadership. It will also partner with relevant cross-functional and regional team members.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3 years of administrative support or human resources experience, preferably at a professional services firm

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.

We expect total annualized compensation for New York City-based employees to be approximately the following:
  • Base salary between $81,000- $99,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12%
  • 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period
  • First year annualized target total compensation: $91,854 - $112,266 (USD)

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Maintain all communication & program coordination (e.g., Segment of One, MDP Champions, Inclusion Accelerator); prepare meeting materials & follow-up with key stakeholders
  • Pilot new network engagement programs to coordinate various affiliation groups across all consulting cohorts

Office Integration & Mentorship
  • Oversee integration of all new (incl. Lateral) CT staff to staffing and office culture/norms; lead any relevant local programming (e.g., section / class dean programs, introductory emails, etc.)
  • Lead coordination and execution of Consulting Team new hire pairing program
  • Coordinate across Class Deans / Section Leaders, Talent Acquisition, Talent Managers & social representatives
  • Support office in variety of other responsibilities and initiatives as relevant (e.g., Cohort Council, Alumni and MDP retiree node, employee appreciation communications)

Business Management Support & Strategic Projects
  • Support CT people strategy & broader People Agenda (e.g., track meeting agendas, drive post-meeting actions & follow-ups, etc.)
  • Analyze annual People Survey, summarize insights and share key findings across cohorts
  • Execute on Living our Values / Role of the Office work as relevant

Mobility
  • Coordinate office transfer experiences for all cohorts and programs (e.g., mobility programs, transfers, etc.)
  • Act as Pathways subject-matter expert, partner with TMs to upskill and adhere to deadlines across cohorts locally
  • Provide ad-hoc assistance and coordination to consulting team members throughout the Mobility process

Other
  • Perform other duties and projects as required
