Summary:
The Senior Test Engineer will contribute to the reliability and performance validation of our cutting-edge products. You will design engineering test fixtures, develop automated data acquisition, and design test plans. You will be working on a diverse spectrum of products from the battery cell, the battery management system, to the thermal management system.

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills. The national Average Base Salary Range is $106,000-$138,600. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance. Summary:
The Senior Test Engineer will contribute to the reliability and performance validation of our cutting-edge products. You will design engineering test fixtures, develop automated data acquisition, and design test plans. You will be working on a diverse spectrum of products from the battery cell, the battery management system, to the thermal management system.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build custom test equipment, including test PCBAs, harnesses, and fixtures, tailored to testing needs
- Develop and maintain test automation software to optimize test execution, data storage, and analysis processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Design Verification Plans (DVPs) aligned with mechanical, electrical, and reliability targets
- Work with quality, design, and engineering teams to incorporate testing results into product development
- Manage technical tool development for battery cell testing and lifetime prediction modelling
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 5-7 years of experience as a Test Engineer, or similar, with expertise in lithium-ion battery systems, battery management systems, data servers, electric vehicles, or other related experience
- Familiarity with various electrical and mechanical tests, including prior use of electronic test equipment including DMM, Oscilloscopes, DAQs, Hipot testers, and ESD/EMI/EMC testing tools
- Experience with CAN, Ethernet, and TCP/IP communication protocols
- Proficiency in Linux OS, Python, SQL, Databricks (or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions
- Strong customer and client service skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience with build systems and artifact repositories (e.g. Scons, Bazel, JFrog Artifactory)
