The Group
Quantitative Research and Investing (QRI) is an investments and research division within Asset Management at Fidelity. We are responsible for the management and development of quantitative and hybrid quant/fundamental investment strategies and solutions while providing high quality quantitative, data-driven support to Fidelity's investment professionals, ensuring they have access to the most relevant data and advanced quantitative analysis.
The Role
Fidelity is seeking to hire an Associate Data Scientist to join its Advanced Strategies and Research (ASR) team. This position will be located in Fidelity's office in Boston, MA. The data scientist will work primarily with our fundamental consumer research team to analyze alternative data and develop novel quantitative models/tools to support and strengthen the investment process used to manage Fidelity's client accounts. A secondary objective is to engage in general data science research to help advance our ability to model and predict economic regimes and trends.

As an Associate Data Scientist, you will work within a larger data science team that engages in research across all asset classes with opportunities for mentorship and coaching by experienced data scientists, quant researchers and other finance professionals.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
These attributes are indispensable:
2-3 years of data science or quantitative experience
Very strong interpersonal skills and an eagerness to work in a team environment
Very strong technical and financial modeling skills
Strong working knowledge of ML/data science, Python, SQL, data visualization
These attributes are preferred:
Advanced degree in a discipline of finance, science, engineering, or mathematics
Experience with investment research, preferably in the consumer sector
