Together, we can make a future with unlimited clean electricity from fusion a reality.  What You Will Be Doing:The Senior Manager of Sourcing and Procurement is responsible for developing and managing Helion's external suppliers. This position requires a strategic thinker to effectively manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will collaborate cross-functionally, drive cost savings initiatives, and maintain compliance with relevant policies and regulations. You will report to our Director of Operations at our Everett, WA, office.You Will:Deliver goods and services to support Helion projects and timelinesDevelop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the procurement of quality goods and servicesConduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable termsEstablish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectivenessEvaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessaryLead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, pricing, and contractual agreementsDevelops and maintains budgets for Supply Chain; coordinates with other department leaders for budget developmentReview contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standardsWork closely with internal stakeholders to understand budgetary requirements and constraintsDevelop material planning capabilities in the Sourcing & Procurement teamEnsure all sourcing and procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policiesProvide guidance to the Sourcing & Procurement team, fostering a collaborative work environment that builds with urgencyConduct performance reviews, set goals, and mentor team members for professional developmentContinuously assess and enhance sourcing and procurement processes, systems, and metrics for increased efficiency and effectivenessEnhance sourcing and procurement individual contributor tasks as needed to support the teamRequired Skills:Bachelor's degree in engineering or business10+ years' experience in operations, production, or purchasing departments; including 3+ years in sourcing and procurement rolesExperience managing buyers and strategic sourcing in a hardware-based companyAbility to stay organized and exceptional written and verbal communication skillsExperience managing complex inter-departmental projectsExperience on both technical and operational sides of a company#LI-Onsite #LI-KL1Compensation and BenefitsAt Helion, we are committed to fostering a fair and equitable environment in every aspect of our operations, including compensation.
