Job Description

The Finance Manager is expected to continuously communicate the status and risks of the financial performance of the site to the rest of the leadership team, as measured against the budget and the forecast. Additionally, the Finance Manager is expected to be cash focused and act as a financial advisor, aiding in maximizing assets, working inventory, and challenging the business. The Finance Manager will also display high level of due diligence and respect of JDI accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create and publish budget deadline schedule to leadership team/other stakeholders to request information.
  • Coordinate the collection of information required from other managers to be used and publish the annual budget.
  • Oversee the development of standard costs for SKUs produced at this site.
  • Submit budget to head office by published deadline.
  • Present and defend the needs of the site the needs of the site to the executive leadership team.
  • Ensure costs and budgets are updated in our internal ERP system(s) according to JDI standards.
  • Fiscally responsible to manage the budget on a per annum basis
  • Provide accurate and timely information on the site performance on a period basis.
  • Explain the cause of variances and highlight any risks that exists which may prevent the site from attaining its stated KPI's.
  • Prepare monthly variance forecast for remainder of the year for production costs and overhead expenses, with focus on reduction and adjusting of unfavorable variances.


Qualifications

  • University Degree / Diploma in accounting.
  • 5 - 8+ years of relevant experience (manufacturing experience considered an asset)
  • CPA Designation
