Apple’s Retail Logistics team is a highly motivated, fast-paced, dynamic organization that is responsible for logistics operations in the Americas region and worldwide. The team operates in a highly cross-functional environment with both internal and external partners to help bring Apple Stores and Apple Products to life. The team is looking for a logistics professional with proven experience in project management to support the construction, preservation and operations of Apple Stores worldwide that meet key financial, service and schedule targets while following compliance guidelines. DescriptionThe Retail Logistics manager will work cross-functionally with Visual Merchandising, Marcom, Development, Facilities, and other teams throughout Apple to manage logistics operations for store development and new product introductions. The position requires collaboration, attention to detail, and a relentless pursuit toward flawless execution. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop, influence and execute project logistics plans for store builds and fleet-wide rollouts - Forecast, analyze and meet cost, schedule & compliance requirements - Carrier performance in planning & execution of project deliverables - Freight cost management, audit, benchmarking and rate negotiations Minimum QualificationsBS/BA degree8-10 years logistics industry experienceExcellent communication, organizational, cross functional/collaborative, and analytical skillsStrong Project Management experience requiredMust be able to travel, and support teams in multiple time-zonesTechnical competence:Multi-modal, domestic/international/local transportationUnderstanding of incoterms, HTS, DG, export/import requirements and Warehouse operationsManage global logistic roll outs to meet project schedule and cost targetsPublish, maintain and enforce the vendor route guideInspect and audit project sites and warehouses for readiness and compliance to Apple requirementsFreight cost audit and paymentPreferred Qualifications- Develop operational plans to support pilots and project roll outs from select stores to entire fleet- Create project scope documents to be used in the Logistics bidding process- Onboard new vendors for logisticsDevelop and enforce standards, guidelines and policies for packaging, documentation, communications, reporting, etc.Conduct RFP/RFQ activities to support projects and ongoing operationsSelect and manage carriers’ performance to set goals and objectivesAdminister carrier contracts and rate agreementsReview material vendor agreements for best practices in incoterms, logisticsDevelop and implement innovative solutions for special projectsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
