Finance Data Governance Foundation Senior Group Manager- C15/Director

The Data Governance Foundation Sr. Group Manager is a senior level role managing a team responsible for facilitating all aspects of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. This role is responsible for defining the enterprise data governance strategy and/or Data Risk and Controls framework and roadmap, including alignment with related enterprise-wide and business/function/region data governance documentation. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.  Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with the organization’s business and regulatory requirements.Liaise with business/function/regional partners to understand and align Data Governance, and/or Data Risk and Control related workManage and lead Data Governance, and/or Data Risk and Control, policy, practices, and standards including industry best practicesDrive progress, and provide guidance for adherence and continued development of enterprise-wide guiding policies, practices and standardsDevelop materials to effectively and concisely articulate progress on the Data Governance strategy and/or Data Risk and Control framework for senior leadership, internal audit and regulatory updatesLiaise with metrics team to articulate clear requirements for objective measures necessary to support Data Governance storylines with key stakeholdersFull management responsibility for a team or multiple teams, including management of people, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval Qualifications:15+ years relevant experience in Banking, Financial Services, with 8-10+ years' managerial experience leading cross-functional teamsExperience in building processes to manage and implement policies, standards and industry practices at a function level.Experience in interactions and responding to internal audit and regulators inquires.Experience is building Data Governance Operating Model with the focus on the Data Quality to define roles, responsibilities, and processes.Strategic mindset, with ability to foresee future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategiesCommunicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levelsCan effectively lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity; Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomesManage through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problemsPromotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations; and demonstrates effective work relationships with business and global function colleaguesExperience creating and executing against frameworks that improve the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments and enhance risk management.
