Network Engineer

role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing our IT infrastructure, with a focus on both
on-premises and cloud environments(AWS & Azure). This role will also provide some end-user support for Microsoft
365 applications.

An industry leader in the development, acquisition and operation of renewables and energy storage. With a 2.4 GW operating portfolio and a substantial development pipeline, they represents one of the nation's largest non-utility portfolios of renewables and energy storage. Based out of Manhattan, New York & Houston, Texas.

Description

 Network Design and Implementation:
o Collaborate with the IT team to design, plan, and implement network solutions (LANs,
WANs) that integrate on-premises infrastructure with cloud environments like Microsoft
Azure and AWS.
o Select, configure, and install network hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, and
wireless access points.
o Implement and maintain network cabling infrastructure, ensuring proper physical
security of network equipment.

 Network Maintenance and Support:
o Proactively monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues like outages,
slowdowns, or connectivity problems within both on-premises and cloud environments.
o Perform regular network maintenance tasks including software updates, configuration
backups, and security audits.
o Provide technical support to end-users for network connectivity and troubleshooting
basic Microsoft 365 application issues (e.g., email, OneDrive access).

 Network Security:
o Design, implement, and maintain robust network security measures including firewalls
(Palo Alto Networks experience a must), intrusion detection/prevention systems
(IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs) across both on-premises and cloud
environments.
o Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to proactively protect the
network.

 Cloud Administration (Preferred):

o Experience in administering and managing cloud resources in Microsoft Azure
environment (AWS is a plus).
o Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, security best practices, and deployment
strategies is beneficial.

 Cybersecurity (Preferred):
o Experience in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls is a plus.
o Familiarity with security best practices, threat detection, and incident response
procedures is beneficial.

 Microsoft Intune (Preferred):
o Experience with deploying and managing Microsoft Intune for mobile device
management (MDM) is a plus.
o Understanding endpoint security and compliance policies within Intune is beneficial.

Profile

 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent
experience).
 Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
 Hands-on experience in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
 Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, network security).
 Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure architecture, components, and services, including VMs,
networking, storage, and security
 Working knowledge of AWS cloud environment preferred
 Proficiency in network configuration tools such as Panorama and command-line interfaces (CLI)
for managing network devices.
 Experience troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.
 Experience with Microsoft 365 suite and ability to setup and assist end-users with basic issues.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and network
users to provide end-user support.
 Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
 A problem-solving and analytical mindset to diagnose and troubleshoot network and end-user
issues effectively.
 A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest networking
technologies and best practices.
 Willing to travel occasionally

Job Offer
