Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, a southwest suburb of Chicago, is a Level I trauma center, providing emergency care for more than 105,000 patient visits annually. Nationally ranked for gynecology, cardiology and heart surgery, Advocate Christ also is a major referral hospital for several specialties, including cancer care, heart and kidney transplantation, neurosciences, orthopedics, and womens health. 
 
Advocate Children's Hospital (ACH), part of Advocate Health, is the largest network provider of pediatric services in Illinois and among the top 10 in the nation. We serve as a leader in comprehensive, dedicated care for our patients and are ranked in U.S. News & World Report among the nations Best Children's Hospitals in the areas of cardiology and heart surgery and neonatology. This position promises a fulfilling experience with a comprehensive surgical team. 
  
Job details
  • Full spectrum practice (arterial lines, central lines, regional anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia)
  • Practice at a single Pediatric only center - access to wide variety of simple and complex cases- no adult coverage or mandatory coverage at other sites
  • MD-only Practice Model
  • Supportive Call Schedule: NO in-house call or call back, approx. one 1st call every other week and one 2nd call every other week, approx. one weekend call per month
  • Competitive Compensation $620K+, plus 8 weeks of vacation, dedicated CME time, and guaranteed post-call days.
  • Advanced Technology in a Level I Trauma Center: State-of-the-art facilities, including hybrid operating rooms.
  • EPIC EMR System: Advocate Health, as the nations largest EPIC user, ensures an optimized EMR system 
Training and/or experience required
  • Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
  • Board-eligibility or board-certification in Anesthesiology 
  • Pediatric fellowship required 
  • Cardiac training preferred for members of the heart team (Mentoring available)
