Position Overview
Denver Health Medical Center, in collaboration with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader for the position of Department Chair of Radiology. This senior faculty member will be responsible for overseeing all care delivered by the Department of Radiology at Denver Health, providing strategic leadership and ensuring excellence in clinical services, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight: Provide comprehensive leadership for all radiologic services including Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Breast Imaging, CT, Diagnostic Radiography, Interventional Radiology (IR), MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound (US).
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to advance clinical services, professional performance, business operations, and medical education within the department.
- Clinical Services: Ensure the highest standards of patient care, driven by patient safety and clinical outcomes monitoring.
- Professional Development: Mentor and develop faculty, fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Eligible for appointment to the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at CU SOM.
- Clinical Expertise: Recognized excellence in clinical care, teaching, mentoring, and research.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a leadership role within an academic medical center or similar setting.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
