TheGallery Host creates the Hyatt Place experience for our guests.
Thisposition assumes full responsibility for creating an experience for hotelguests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpfuland exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and invitingenvironment. Being aware and attentive to guest's needs.
Responsibilities
• Greet, register, and assignrooms to guests of the hotel.
• Verify customers' credit andestablish payment method.
• Assist guests with check in andcheck out processes (verifying registration, address, and credit information,balancing bank, posting charges).
• Go above and beyond to provideassistance, assist with luggage, coffee, directions, wake up calls, futurereservations, etc.
• Coordinate all guest requests,inform guests of hotel services, features, and room amenities.
• Prepare, set up, stock, takedown, clean, and provide quality beverages and food products consistently forall guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Make and confirm reservations.
• Compute bills, collectpayments, and make change for guests.
• Must be able to receiveinformation on all hotel facilities, including the service offered by thehotel.
• Gallery Hosts must be able toprovide directions to local businesses, places of interest, major highways,airports, restaurants, churches, etc.
• Answer hotel phone and handleguest requests and inquiries.
• Transmit and receive messages,using telephones or PMS system.
• Perform bookkeeping activities,such as balancing accounts.
• Coffee to Cocktails Bar and24/7 Gallery Market.
• Attend to Café Seating Areas,Gallery Kitchen, and Assembly Kitchen.
• Prepare food amenities.
• Clean and maintain kitchen anddining room facilities.
• Inventory control of GalleryHost Stand supplies and kitchen supplies.
• Create conversations and sharea moment thereby making a real connection with our guests.
• Practice safe work habits anduse required safety equipment.
• Be aware of guest satisfactionscores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties asrequested by management.

• Available to work any shift andany days - schedule flexibility.

• Ability to work well with otherassociates.
• Maintain brand standards.
• Be an outgoing, welcomingpersonality for the Hotel.
• Speak and write clearly andaccurately.
• Complete all assigned tasks,reports, projects etc. in a professional manner and on an on-time basis.
Physical Requirements
• Frequently required to stand,walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach withhands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, orhear.
• Occasionally lift and/or moveup to 20 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 50lbs.
• Specific vision abilitiesrequired by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand during theentire 8-hour shift.
