JOB SUMMARY

Perform all assembly operation necessary to assemble purchased and/or precision-machined parts to complete products to meet or exceed test specifications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare assemblies by following work instructions as provided on the production order.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to specific products as needed.
  • Test all items to meet or exceed all test specifications from Engineering. Record test information as required.
  • Operate lifting and moving equipment as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to read, write, and process all instructions, written or verbal.
  • Ability to use lifting and moving equipment as required.
  • Must have a working knowledge or ability to learn to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to interpret basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Quality oriented mindset, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete all tasks in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and alter hours as business needs dictate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in an assembly area is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Specific PPE is required within the cell.
