Booz Allen Hamilton, Arlington, VA
Energy Control Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:
What if you could use your engineering skills to solve the energy system integration challenges of the Department of Defense? Our team supports critical mission facilities to enhance mission resiliency through ever more-connected energy systems. This challenge requires leveraging expertise in electrical, communications, water, and gas infrastructure to deliver IT/OT and cybersecurity RMF capabilities for our clients.
As a senior engineer with experience in industrial controls, you understand the complexities of energy systems that supports facilities, campuses, and installations' electrical, gas, and water infrastructure. That knowledge is key when it comes to ensuring physical security and cybersecurity of the supervisory systems that collect and transmit data from hardware to key stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate who can combine their expertise in IT/OT and industrial control systems (ICS) to help the Department of Defense meet its energy resilience and climate goals. The ability to lead a team of engineers and facilitate interaction between clients and partners is key. A qualified candidate can expect to be leading technical efforts across the entire system lifecycle from planning, designing, construction, commissioning, and sustainment. Furthermore, you should expect to interface with leaders and policymakers as a subject matter expert. You will directly impact the energy sector by supporting a team that will pair advanced ICS technology with a diverse portfolio of facility energy and business systems across the world.
You'll conduct cybersecurity assessments, security design engineering, and threat monitoring of non-IT systems, including ICS, physical systems, or embedded systems. You'll apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. You'll develop innovative solutions to complex problems, work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.
Join us and take on exciting challenges as we transform the way our clients and their partners change the energy landscape.
