Job Description: The Clinical Director of IBHS is responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of quality clinical services to all Holcomb clients within the IBHS department and to ensure that quality clinical supervision and training are provided to staff. Duties include supervising Clinical Coordinators and ensuring services are provided according to best practice standards which promote client recovery.

Schedule Details: Full Time - Monday through Friday; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Exton, PA

Program: Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000/year

Job Functions:

  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of administration and administrative supervision
  • Knowledge of behavioral health disorders, developmental disabilities and substance use disorders, and service programming provided by the agency to address the clinical needs of clients served
  • Assure sufficient, quality clinical supervision is provided as per regulatory/licensing standards and program requirements and clinical staff needs
  • Knowledge of ABA best practice principles and Joint Commission behavioral healthcare standards
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors regarding the availability of clinical staffing consistent with needs, licensure regulatory requirements and Holcomb's policies
  • Knowledge of staff training needs and ability to provide quality in-service instruction across a wide range of clinical topics
  • Knowledge of effective and efficient clinical service systems and ability to evaluate, conduct, and oversee clinical performance improvement activities
  • Knowledge of the applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies and procedures governing the Intensive Behavioral Health Services program(s)
  • Provide consultation to programs regarding maintaining programs in compliance with all clinical, licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, agency personnel and the general public
  • Develop and implement program/service enhancement
  • May conduct billable services as part of Supervision, Observation, and Oversight


Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a physician practicing psychiatry, psychologist, certified registered nurse practitioner, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, behavior specialist, social worker or other professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute and a minimum of 2 years of experience in providing ABA services
  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist and have a minimum of 5 years of full-time experience providing clinical oversight of an ABA program and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA approved by the Department or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist and have a graduate degree or graduate certificate in ABA from an accredited college or university.


Licensure/Certification: BCBA and Licensed as psychologist, LPC, LCSW or BSL required

Clearances: Pennsylvania Act 33 & 34 clearance, FBI clearance, Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
