Our Melbourne, Florida office is currently seeking a Senior Architect and Project Manager to assist our Melbourne Principal, lead projects and manage a team of designers. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire project life cycle, from concept through design, documentation, and construction phase services. You will be responsible for managing personnel involved at various stages of the project and showcase strong design and technical abilities, creating high-quality documents and facilitating a process for successful project delivery. You will be part of building a positive and collaborative studio culture. This role will report directly to the Melbourne Principal in charge.

This is a full-time, in-person position that offers flexibility of scheduling and includes travel to client sites and DAG offices.
Compensation will be determined based on years of professional experience, licensure and credentials, specific expertise, ability to manage team members, client-facing skills, and complexity of past projects completed.

Responsibilities
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Manage projects for design and construction document quality Lead the design and technical documentations of projects, selecting appropriate architectural systems and products
- Build positive relationships with team, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Promote a collaborative and positive studio culture.
- Assist the Melbourne Principal with client presentations, proposals, hiring and training of studio staff.
- Engage with new business opportunities and contribute to the firm's long-term strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Degree in architectural studies
- Minimum 7 years' experience in professional firm
- Proficiency in Revit
- Strong technical expertise related to design and construction.
- Preferred:
- Architect license or NCARB Certified
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a project management/project architect role.
- Prior leadership experience managing a team of architectural designers.
- Prior work experience in education, multi-family, medical and hospitality sectors.
- Experience in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Lumion.
