This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Join a dynamic team of motivated and dedicated professionals committed to delivering high quality engineering and environmental services.
- Engage in both office and field-based hydrogeology work on a wide variety of projects.
- Be involved in all stages of the project, from concept to completion, including proposal writing, conceptual model development, groundwater numerical model development, report writing, and maintaining client relationships.
- Develop detailed hydrogeological conceptual models of site-specific conditions based on reviewed and collected field data, that will be the foundation for numerical models.
- Develop your project coordination and management skills under the guidance of senior engineers and scientists; being the point of contact on projects; learning to foster long-term relationships with our key clients; and managing technical resources, cost, and schedule as part of project delivery.
- Broaden your professional practice by working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects while maintaining your focus in hydrogeology.
- Travel to project locations within Western and Northern Canada.
We want to hear from you, if you have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science or Natural Science, or a Masters in Hydrogeology.
- A minimum of five years of groundwater experience.
We value your:
- Experience conducting hydrogeological assessments, seepage analysis, and dewatering evaluations.
- Experience using industry standard modeling software packages including FeFlow and MODFLOW and hydrogeological software packages including Leapfrog.
- Ability to process and evaluate hydrogeological data using data analysis tools including Excel and Access.
- GIS skills (e.g. ArcGIS).
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, site assessment guidelines and experience in preparing permit applications.
- Strong initiative, problem solving ability, innovation, and commitment to technical excellence as well as your enthusiasm and drive toward long-term success.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English including your experience in writing proposals, technical reports, and general project correspondence.
- Team spirit, interpersonal skills and your ability to build long-term, successful relationships with project teams and clients.
- Comprehension and application of health, safety and environmental principles, and a commitment to quality management systems.
