Maximus is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer to support a government client based out of Arlington, VA.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 10+ years of experience related to the execution and management of large-scale Information Technology (IT) Projects. This includes a requirement of at least two years of direct experience in leading and executing enterprise-wide IT solutions in the private or public sector.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.3+ years of supporting policy development and requirements generation.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. - Develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures that meet the needs of various applications and services.
- Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly into the overall IT environment.
- Continuously monitor and optimize cloud environments for cost efficiency, performance, and security, using tools and best practices.
- Automate cloud operations and workflows using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Implement robust monitoring solutions to detect and resolve issues proactively, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and safeguards.
- Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the company's cloud strategy.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Lead and participate in incident response activities, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
- Manage relationships with cloud service providers, ensuring the company leverages the best services and solutions available.

- Desired experience working with Special Access Programs, the OSD, Joint Staff or Service Staff level.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and methodologies
- Experience leveraging business understanding and experience to effectively prioritize the team and project activities.
- Extensive experience in architecting, designing, engineering, and integrating a wide range of enterprise technologies, including cloud platforms, network switches/routers, identity and access management, mobile security, SIEM, etc.
- Understanding of two or more of these IT/Security functions; identity and access management, networking, and system engineering and application development.
- Experience understanding organizational needs, proposing solutions, and managing project execution efforts designed to deliver overall program benefits for Government Agencies.
