A Snapshot of Your Day

As a production manager, you will manage a unionized shop of Assembly Technicians and Component Inspection Technicians as they build new, or overhaul existing, Aero-derivative Gas Turbines. You will ensure everyone is occupied with meaningful tasks and will help remove impediments that are preventing the team from progressing their work. You will ensure delivery targets are met and that Modules and entire engines are completed on schedule. You will ensure the health and safety of your team and will promote and foster the existing quality culture.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Responsible for Health, Security and Environment on the shop floor, ensuring that the local standards are met.
  • Dispatching and prioritization of the shop floor daily work to meet customer requirements.
  • Daily reviews of engine assembly status and highlighting/resolving build stoppage issues
  • Managing the booking hours of shop floor employees
  • Administrative management of shop floor employees
  • Identify tooling and equipment requirement and support its maintenance.
  • Developing the competencies of shop floor personnel and identify training requirements.
  • Participate and lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain the good working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
What You Bring
  • Experience as a Production Manager, Supervisor, Lead Hand, Team Leader or other similar position in a unionized industrial environment
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills, together with a results-driven approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of processes and procedures and quality focused
  • Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver
About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

Within the Gas Service division our Montreal production team is responsible for assembling and repairing the gas turbines for the A65, A45 and A35 portfolios.
