Description:
Waypoint's client is seeking a dedicated Cloud System Administrator to join our dynamic Operations Team. This role involves managing and maintaining a cloud environment platform built with Java and a suite of Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo. Our platform supports the execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure, ensuring stability and high performance.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the day-to-day operations stability of our cloud environment, ensuring the infrastructure is reliable and efficient.
• Provide high-quality customer support, addressing and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize technical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks, ensuring all operational requirements and deadlines are met with a strong attention to detail.
• Work with a variety of technologies based on customer requirements, enhancing your skillset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Strong background in troubleshooting operational issues within a Linux environment.
• Knowledge in Key Technologies:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Hadoop
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to completing tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting and repair expertise.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing customer requirements.
• Willingness to work shift hours and be on-call as needed.
• TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph.
