What You Do
The role of the Associate Director, Creator Activation is to help build best-in-class creator & influencer marketing programs that drive business results for our clients.
The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the Creator Activation team including creator identification, relationship management, outreach, negotiations/contracting, campaign launch & execution, content reviews, campaign performance insights and industry thought-leadership.
Through individual contribution and oversight of junior team members' work, you will develop strategic recommendations to drive innovative influencer content development and program activations.

What You Do
The role of the Associate Director, Creator Activation is to help build best-in-class creator & influencer marketing programs that drive business results for our clients.
The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the Creator Activation team including creator identification, relationship management, outreach, negotiations/contracting, campaign launch & execution, content reviews, campaign performance insights and industry thought-leadership.
Through individual contribution and oversight of junior team members' work, you will develop strategic recommendations to drive innovative influencer content development and program activations.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee campaign activation and performance ensuring team members have the training, tools, and resources needed to execute flawless end-to-end campaign delivery
- Manage and mentor team of mid-level and coordinator direct reports
- Collaborate closely with Strategy teams to deliver best-in-class creative solutions, activation workflows, and performance results.
- Continuously assess and optimize activation and performance processes
- Review all creator negotiations and contracts across campaigns including initial internal business terms review and redlines
- Direct analytics point of contact with clients for reporting, proactive initiatives, and client requests. Responsible as for accurate reporting, actionable insights, and optimization recommendations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with influencers and/or their management teams
- Collaborate and manage development of content briefs to ensure brand alignment to campaign goals
- Oversee team reviews of content and posts for adherence to FTC guidelines, campaign strategy, and brand guidelines
- Leverage analytical insights and data to enhance future campaign executions and optimize content and creator opportunities
- Advise and work collaboratively across internal agency and client teams, guiding creator best practices through a strategic vision
- Maintain expertise on creator trends, including compensation, contract and negotiation best practices, and how to activate creators across various owned, earned, and paid marketing channels
Qualifications for the Role:
- 6 - 8+ years experience in influencer/creator marketing, PR, and social media/digital at an agency or large, consumer-facing brand; experience in e-commerce and/or retail a plus
- A strong and proven track record in building influencer strategies and programs, including collaborations, events, and long-term relationships, that ladder to overall business strategy and drive impactful results
- Knowledge of full funnel creator marketing inclusive of affiliate and other creator monetization platforms and its impact
- Possess strong analytical skills and reporting experience, combined with passion for social media, influencers, and how/why people consume certain content
- Passionate about influencer marketing and in tune with the latest influencer trends
- Able to leverage data to assess the impact of your programs and develop actionable insights
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a highly collaborative working environment
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects while providing thought leadership and strategy recommendations to internal and external teams
- Highly organized, exceptionally detail-oriented and accountable for results
- Experience managing outside vendors and platform partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Airtable, and other analytical tools
- Experience working with a variety of influencer and social media marketing tools (e.g. CreatorIQ, Captiv8, Aspire, Meltwater, etc)
